I Got Me A MERV

It came today
Its a pretty cool little truck checked it over tweeked the suspension to the way I like to see my truck set up.
When it showed up.





After tweeking




Weather is nasty but what the helz its water proof so I took it out and run er.
Snow and sleet flying I put in just one pack to try iy out on the 6 cell and :yahoo









Done my first much needed mod
Water relief holes in the tires.



2 holes per tire across from each other works great.

I ran it yesterday on two traxxas power 6 cell packs, all I got to say is

When they say 50mph out of the box with series adaptor and 2 packs they wernt kidding.
Also I would have never figured it would do standing back flips, only did it two times intensionally because I know its not going to be good for it but I was shocked, this little thing is crazy.

Hey larry, Im kinda new to the hobby, and grabbed my MERV after Xmas. The susp. as you knoticed needed upgraded. You have the exact setup I have. Just my 2cents here, add ball bearings to the rockers. Smoooth..... I also added bearings on my steering post. Well worth another $5. Plastic there to if ya ain't knoticed. Darn Traxxas slippin plastic in on us..lol.. Check out TheToyz! GPM Alum. steering/tie rod set 9pcs. ,$23 !! I've also read the a-arms are a weak point as well, and grabbed RPM f/r sets. Rammed post at 40+mph and "tough"! They also took out the little slop that was there. Only $12-13 set, upper and lower. I know you'll love that little devil. It's wicked fast, as you knoticed! 1 more thing, Check out AutoMizzi on ebay. He also has an off ebay store(I forget the site's name) as well. You can get 2 1500mAh EP packs for under $30. They are bad ! 30A continuos, and run quit a bit longer than stock packs. I can run 2 in series for 20+min. and take the truck in befor battery dies. Im just lettin you in on the few little things I've found since Jan.. Hope you can use some of this bud.

Ya its a pretty cool little truck, and they do need some upgrades, but I had no intensions of upgrading it to start with.
I paint RC bodies and was offered the upgrades to do a paint job for some one.
Will it get more upgrades, I doubt it, needs new wing mount so I can put wing back on but thats probably about as far as it will go, unless I get offers of parts I can't refuse.
Its a pretty cool little truck, changed my outlook of mini's as the mini's I've had in the past were a fail (too slow, too weak)
I been in the hobby for 30+ years and had 1000's of rc's, usually upgrade and sell or trade them off.
I got the MERV in trade of my SuperPede, I had over $600.00 in that build, took out electronics and traded it off after getting it to where there really wasn't any upgrading left
to possably do.
Thanks for your advice but not really sure how long it will be around, they don't stay in my shop long before I get bored with them.
