Thread: Revo, E Revo or T-maxx

Default Revo, E Revo or T-maxx

I know everyone is going to have their own opinions but i want to know which truck will best fit me. I have had three nitro trucks now and currently have a slayer. I want something bigger and overall just like monster trucks better. The areas i have to drive are my front lawn, a steep hill, two large grass fields, and three large parking lots. I do mostly just driving around and then end up going to the grass fields every now and then. WHich truck will best suite my needs?? Im looking into electric but have no expierience with them and am not sure how i could handle it, is it relatively easy? will it have enough torque/weight to bash just like a nitro?

if you want to bash with an electric your going to need a brushless system and i would recomend a lipo but thats just for faster speeds and a little bit longer run time. and if your going down that route i would suggest the flux or stampede vxl

I have to give a heads up to my fav RC truck , you cant beat a e-revo in terms of handling and durability. Setup right it makes a excellent racer , but it is a very capable basher. As far as torque? A stock brushed e-revo is alright in that factor , but a brushless edition will have more power than nitro. I saw someone recomend a stampede , the stampede is a very nice truck and will wheelie all day long if you go with the vxl , but it is 2 wheel drive. As far as the t-maxx goes , it is a nice truck , but you will need to spend some money up front to beef up the bulkheads and shock towers , those in my opinion are pretty weak and break alot on the truck , but dont get me wrong here I own a e-maxx and it is very capable once you do beef up things.

yea ill put in my 2 cents on this as well e revo brushed and brushless are killer toys to have as i have had 6 nitro kick **** as well but now pretty full blown into the 1/8 scale bl big trucks and buggies i must say there alot to pick from emaxx and a lot less durable bashing ok but as qouted earlier needs upgrades almost immediately so id say get erevo and have fun lol hope this helps oh then there the mbx5t elec conversion am working on now thats almost as big as your gona get durablity is more than there but beter trucks more $$$$$$$$$$$$

Traxxas makes some real good models in the monster truck line.
If you want to stay Traxxas then by all means look for a Revo 3.3, it is all you will ever want short of going to a truggy.
The T-Maxx is a powerful monster truck but is definitley NOT for racing of any kind, that is why Traxxas brought us the Revo. The only monster truck that can beat a Revo is another Revo (OH BOY, watch the comments on that one) (BG)

I also saw you said something about easy? ELECTRIC is a whole less less upkeep than a nitro , charge packs and go. If you use lipo its a little more , but not much just follow the guidelines for lipos , balance your packs , dont overcharge or underdrain and your set.
