I put some sheet metal screws in an old set of tire that were completely bald
THE GOOD totally ROCKED for like my road that was plowed and had some slippery hard snow about 2 inches deep hard and on my river on ice/snow.

THE BAD Had it in wet slush about 6 in deep and just berried it self but doing about 14MPH of faster it would go over it about 7-9 feet long and in fluffy snow anything deeper then 4 in forget it.

THE WORST About 5min into it they started flying off.

First tire I did all studs blow off first half of second tire did also blow off but second half of second tire I did stayed on so as I got better at doing it the hold got stronger.

Now I think this can be fixed if anyone knows of any solid rubber tires or thick tires.

I used super glue to put them on I think if I use that and some gorilla glue because its more flexible it will work much better.

If anybody can help me out to get some ideas I can check them out and put some videos on here to give you guys an update with in a few days.

you should try bolts with nuts and washers alittle bit bigger then the head of the bolt and use lock tight. i think that would work

take the tires oof the rims and glue plastic pipe to the rims then put screws in to that my friend did that and it worked great some people use that method for drifting i heard but minus screws

back in the great state of pa we used dry wall screws(fine threads) from the in side of the rim and out of the tires

I've seen people who have taken the tires off the wheels, and then put the screws in on the inside of the tire so the pointy side is out (like what navyeoseabee said) Just glue the **** out of the inside or use a rubber liner to keep them in..or whatever you can think of. Of course, having a flying projectile with wheels with sharp points spinning at a high rate can be sorta dangerous...:jumpy: Although I've never tried it I have to imagine that the pointy side of nails will grip ice pretty efficiently...8)

heres a idea you could try with your used ripped tires ...get a can of foam insulation and fill up the tire (with out foams in them ) and then put the scres throught the rim and tire? that would kinda make them solid but still light weight
