View Full Version : T-maxx repair guide

Does anyone know if there is a T-maxx repair guide out there somewhere? I am getting tired of taking my maxx to my lhs everytime something is wrong with it.:confused: . I am new to nitro and still don't grasp the concept of fixing it myself so many screws and so many ways to mess up. Any help would be appreciated

That should do ya what problems are you having???? as for screws go to your local ace and get 3mm 50 pitch 12.9 black oxide screws. get an assortment. As for knowing how to fix if you took a day to just tear the truck down and rebuild you would learn a lot. If you have any Q's just ask.

Yeah taking it apart is a good way to learn how it goes,i learned in an hour after cleaning it.I can actually tell what parts u need to build off my head,and build it with no flaws.Just ask here.

what about a 1st gen maxx? is there a repair manual out for it?

i would suggest checking in to getting some copies of the books published by rc car action . the are advertised in every issue of rc car action they even have a maxx special i have many of them if you want to pm me but they show shock building to engine modding

no i don't have the maxx book , the others cover common problems of r/c in general. most fixes are universal. ie- engine rebuild, shock rebuilds , trannys, most are close to the same

This is traxxas's website for exploded views and everything just look for the .15 ones and that should be your truck but they are pretty much universal chassis wise. These exploded views tell will show you were every screw goes. Everyone here is right though an hour taking it apart and putting it back together will do u a wonder of good for fixing it yourself. Digital pictures help to.
