Hello everyone. I am looking for some of you guys or girls that have looked at roll cages for your car, but have not seen anything I liked. I'm looking at building my own, has anyone successfully done this?

if you know how to weld it should be pritty easy, although if you look up my man tyson, he can make you what ever you want and he paints my rc cars. He's a great guy and you can get ahold of him at tyson.heck.b@bayer.com

I got my MGT 4.6 se roll cage from VG. It is a full cage and provides plenty of protection. You can also check out www.rcraveninc.com (http://www.rcraveninc.com) and see there selection of cages. I am also thinking about building my own cage for my brother's truck. Hope this helps some.:)

I've also got a VG cage. I love the thing! It protects everything under there that needs it.
I've even had my girlfriend stand on it with all her weight (100lbs, she's petite) and it holds it. 100 pounds may not seem like much for a person, but your RC weights 10-15, think how strong that cage is there!

I have a cage from rcraven and it does a great jjob of protecting but the engine. Its only 33 bucks and weighs 14 ounces. Some people have said they are a piece but I have jumped my truck alot and very high 20 feet plus and land dead on its ld and it held up perfect.. 2coolrc.com makes some great roll bars for under 30 buck that are awesome. hope it helps
