Why do you guys put zip ties on the top of the motor? Wouldn't the roll cage protect it enough?
rcheadcrazy

the rollcage only protects a little for the engine

whats plasti dip?
It's a liquid you dip your elecs into and then let it dry hard and seals them up. Kinda like a hard wax

But it drys to a rubbery texture. You know the handles on tools how they're rubberized? Plasti-Dip is just about the same thing as that, but not quite as thick. Comes in a spray can or in a liquid you dip stuff in (standard obviously).
It's pretty tough, I had my bumpers coated in the spray version for a while and it held up pretty well, but once it started coming off, I just peeled the rest off.

It's kinda supposed to...
Keeps water from getting in those holes. Just search around for water proofing RCs and it'll come up along with it, lol.
Hmm...purple tie rods?...don't think I've seen those before.
