ok i need a really fast truck or car, nitro powered, that i can race on a wide open, flat, smooth parking lot. its not like pro racing, its just aa bunch of us messing around. it needs to be able to take turns pretty well at high speeds, and i dont like pullstarts, but i can get over that. also. what kind of tires are best for racing like that? and suggestions would help a lot. thanks.

hey i got a kyosho ultima st racing sports, its a really fast truck, but it is pell start, i can recemend theevolution version they just came out with, but if you want a cheap car go for the sports, and for the tires for offraod a good all around tire is the porline masher 2000 and for on road a losi tire for more information on the ultimas go to http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=ultima&FVPROFIL=++

YOu should get a traxxas ristler nitro becasue it can handle good onroad or off it also has oil filled shocks for good handling. It can reach speeds of 50 mph and is about 250 dollars

Here is what i think...
If you need a BIG 4x4, then get T-maxx and upgrade to the WIDE suspension arms that Proline makes for the T-Maxx, + get nice onroad tires and lower the truck by using good short shocks.
On the other hand... if you are ok with a Stadium truck, then somehting like HPI MT(I perefer Racer version which is a pro kit) or an Associated RC10GT with the right setup can do a very good job in handling and speed.
I personally had MT Racer with a Novarossi .12 Engine, right suspension setup and foam tires. That truck was trully TOO fast to handle for me.
It's your choice now...

You should get a RC10GT. I have one that is almost stock except for the tires and the shocks and it is pretty quick and handles good. So this is your best bet

hey
I know someone that hasd a Traxxas Nitro Rustler and somone that owns a Kyosho ST, and I don't recommend either one. The ST is a slow truck, and the rustler lacks the handling. The ST cannot take hits, either. The rustler is faster and stronger, but it likes to flip. I haven't driver either one, but a nice truck is the XXX-NT. If you want a car, the 4-Tec does 60. If doing 40 satisfies your speed needs and off-road needs, give the T-Maxx 2.5 a try.

Agreed!
On the tracks, Losi is outperforming Associated most of the time these days!
