They are not useful, read this quote by Ron Paris, nitro engine guru...
In my opinion I do not feel there is any measurable gain from their use, there is NO increase in power. What it does is increase the Plenum volume between the carb venturi and crank window. This can reduce the Pulse from the timing event and provide a slightly smoother throttle response. Some claim improved fuel economy but we have not seen significant evidence to support the claim. This technology has been used for years on other types of racing engines. In our tests the bottle or chamber had to be many times larger [So big it would be difficult to fit in the car] with MUCH bigger tubing or passageways to the bottle. Those we have seen in the market place are too small. The NovaRossi unit is bigger than most as well is the tubing/fitting, so it may be somewhat helpful. Again this is my opinion and others may vary [But you did ask me]...

I have found another way to reduce/eliminate the pulse with a check valve inline with the pressure line to the tank. It keeps the pressure even in the tank by not allowing it to flow back to the pipe. Tower has them http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXG869&P=ML but I have convinced my LHS to stock them too
