My local track, AMS Raceway has started a new race program in which once a week you can race as many classes as you want for a single $10 entry fee. :D Since that is too good a deal to pass up, I started the hunt for a rig to run in a 2nd class. I was hoping to find a sweet deal on a 1/8 truggy but running two 8th scale classes is just a bit too expensive for me at this time. I did however find a sweet deal on a Losi XXX-T CR, and so the prepping begins. I got the truck as an nearly new roller, it looked as though it had only been run a couple times. It also came to me with 6 sets of wheels/tires. Always a major bonus with a race rig since track conditions are constantly changing, and we all know how expensive tires can get :pullhair: For the time being I will be running in the mod class with a brushed setup. I had an older Novak ESC just sitting here collecting dust, and have more brushed motor accessories than I know what to do with so I'm gonna use the stuff up for now and go brushless later. I should get at least half the season out of the brushes, springs, and armatures I have, which will leave me more money for hot dogs, nachos, and Mt Dew :oinksmiley: Anyway here are a few pics of how the truck sits now.
