Before. This is the XQ Toys ford GT that's currently sold at Costco Stores for about $30.

After.
Chassis stretched 1 inch, stock arms, axles, etc. Steering link extended one-half inch. Lexan chassis is one-sixteenth inch thick (.063"), Designed by yours truly in TurboCAD, and CNC'd in my garage shop. Rear wing is made of same material. Clodbuster tires, NewBright GMC Yukon outer rim bands with custom, six-bolt centers, also CNC'd.

The Ford's rear bumper was nixxed, and small Lexan plates locate the body on the Wheely King's body posts. The front shock tower is .30" forward of its usual position, to allow the shocks to mount in back to clear the giant tires. Rather than go for an extreme offset in the wheels, I wanted as narrow a track as possible. I still have the rear tie-rod on here, I've since designed small lockouts for the same function, and have them installed.

If you compare this to a stock Wheely King, you'll find its belly a bit low. I've installed a set of HPI's RS4MT front shocks, all around. Wifey doesn't need articulation much, stability is a bit more important.
Many more pics/build log at:http://www.killbuckets.com/fordgt5.htm (http://www.air-sharp.com/fordgt5.htm)
Wait 'till you see the paint job that's planned...hard to miss, it will match her Pink Minigun.
