had huge amount of fun yesturday running with my buddy's slash 4x4, but the mini kinda gave out on me. he was jumping 4ft and i jumped about 6-7ft (it physicaly went over my head) then we made a 4x8 plywood jump with huge curve in it to land on the barn roof, and i had the 10 ft height, but fell short of the distance to the roof.
the chassis actually broke on the 6ft landing, (landed on the wing) then continued to drive it untill it looked like two cars-lol
so far teh broken parts are the front shock tower, and chassis.
it had a broken upright from the last beating... bt all it does is let the pivot ball pop out once in a while ..no need to fix yet.

i was going to posted it for sale for 250 and say lightly used....lol ...

well most of you know me by know, i am the guy that builds a truck for duiblity bot bling...but ends up sending the truck out to get anodized to be considered blinged. but i do add mud on the new anodized trucks. WELL to the point, the budget is tight and i had a lot of fun with this truck not really breaking a whole lot for the bashing i have done, so i thought i would add color to this truck in a different (lower cost) way.

see for yourself.

just to recap of the actual parts that were broke was just the chassis, rear bulkheads and bent arm pins. the rest i replaced because they simply wearing and i had the truck in pieces.

i learned a tip on the rebuild.

the pictures are blurry -sorry for that.

i had the center screw get pulled out of the chassis a few weeks ago so this new chassis i did a mod that worked on the nitro revo.the mod being that you can super glue a 3mm nut under the chassis for the screw to sandwich the chassis to prevent it from pulling through.
the prep work was to take a razer blade and notch the joing bulkheads to allow clearance for the nut to seat. under the chassis you need to trim away some of the plastic where the screw digs in to ( you are replacing that with the nut. ) that was all i did
it is working great no issues yet(don't use a locking nut , just a old school nut.)
here is where i notched the bulkheads

here is the rear shock tower mounted using the nut, (i mounted the shock tower onthe chassis before mounting to the bulkheadhttp://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b303/navyeoseabee/mini%20revo/DSCF3646.jpg
did the same for the front.
