I'm not a pro, but since it hasn't been addressed yet, I'll ask, anyway. Does the car have a reverse module in it?

thanks all i found out that my esc does not have reverse.
Reverse is not legal during a ROAR approved R/C race, so many of the better ESC's don't come with reverse.
Our trucks are equipped with "programmable ESC's" which can turn off the reverse for race conditions, and allow reverse for practice, to avoid running around the track chasing a truck that's stuck, when there are no marshalls to do the running for you!
Good luck with the new R/C - what did you get? Are you going to get into racing?
