Well I had alot of rusty/pede parts laying around and a vxl system so decided to rebuild me a rusty , build went great. Untill I ran into some velineon vxl motor/esc problems.

Here is what happened , after the build connected 2 cell lipo , powered on , did the controller setup on the vxl esc with no problems. Tried to go forward .... nothing , truck started to smoke , quickly pulled out the lipo , lipo was fine. Saw no esc or motor damage , I know it isnt the lipo cause this is one of the packs I use with my MMM with no issues. So I Waited about 15 or so minutes , reconnected the lipo , powered the esc on with NO problems again. I now have forward motion only but seems to be alot of glitching , I have no reverse in sport or training mode , I do have breaks but no reverse.

I am sure it is the esc , but should I send the motor and esc into traxxas and have them check them both out , or just the esc?

PS I do have a xl5 esc and a epic 15t brushed motor I "could" use for right now but really dont want to as I was thinking about listing them up here for sale

IT hard for it to be the motor but you never know I would just send the esc did you put all the motor leads in the right esc holes and what smoked

Could it be the RX?
