Hi, I am a new owner of a T-maxx 3.3 with 2 speed transmission. I would appreciate if some could tell me whats the best combination of spur gear/ clutch bell should I use for drag racing. I don't want to lose everything on the bottom end------But I would like to have power on the top end. I really would appreciate your help. The young guys in my neighborhood are talk trash to the old man...I need to surprized them with a little something..LOL......Thanks in advance...

well it is one or the other.... top end or bottom end. it is the c r a p p y end of the r/c gearing selection. or the lack of a 5 speed tranny :)
here is a few ideas to consider,
1- you picked the wrong truck to want to "drag race"
2- you can change to the close gearing inside the tranny and gear taller on the spur and pionion. here is the link
http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalog/tmaxx33.html
that is the steel gear set traxxas makes the same ones in plastic and they are around 15.00-20.00 bucks
if you do this you will go fast as hello for a short run.
3- you can use the same type of gears in the tranny but they are the wide gear set, they might be faster off the line but with these gears with a shorter pinion and spur setup they will reach full speed at a further distance.
4- you can play with tire diameter also bigger slower start but covers more ground when going max rpms, smaller faster off the line but covers shorter distance per rpm.
#5- just picked the wrong r/c for drag racing-lol tip #5.5 if you are going against a 1/8th buggy , don't put money on the race, if it is a 2wd then get some good tires and drive smartly...you have a chance. another tmaxx try the tranny gears.
-lol
good luck and take videos we all like to watch.
