A good starter gas truck depends on you,The rustler

I would recommend a T-Maxx, Savage or Revo. Great monster trucks and the aftermarket has it going on for the Maxx and Savvy. Check them out. The Maxx is prone to breaking bulkheads while the Savvy is prone to breaking tranny gears and the radio system is hard to get too. Just to advise you on that. Not much is known about the Revo yet. They are a decent truck from what I know of but, it's slower than my Maxx. Hope this helps. -Josh

Well to tell you the truth , the revo is a great truck by allmeans ! and so are the all hpi and traxxas trrucks . i got a revo , for my first rc car last cristmas . and after driving a jato or eaven a rustler , it seams a little lame . althoe , it is the best monster i have sean . The traxxas jato is the best choice , i think . Hear is a link , just high lite it , then copy it , then past it in the bar that you typ in to go to places on the web... i know , i didn't understand it eather ...

......... i have 1 jato 2.5 (broken in correctly, and tuned by a professional)....... only 1/2 a gallon total of nitro ran through the engine. Almost perfect condition (only some scratches on the underside). new red tie-rods all around, x-tra parts, 2 new full sets of rims/tires (1 set has moab's w/new rims), x-tra radio, temp guage, plus much more. i'm looking to get rid of EVERYTHING. i'm getting out of r/c. if you are interested, i will get you some detailed pics, and a more complete list of everything i will send with the truck. i need at least $400 for it (all the essentials & x-tra's cost me a lot of $$$$). e-mail me @ jamie.connollyjr@us.army.mil (jamie.connollyjr@us.army.mil)
