My local hobby shop owner cautioned that if I replaced the 2.5 with a 3.3 I would wind up replacing much of the drivetrain as well, since the beefier 3.3 would strip the plastic gears.
I'd like to get more power- 'cause more is pretty much always better. Is the 3.3 motor going to eat my drivetrain immediately, slowly, or no faster than the original 2.5?

I went into the hobby shop and the next thing I knew, I had a new 3.3 motor, new A-Arms and new hinge pins. I just can't go to that place when I have a pocket full of money :)

I have that same problem with the LHs and ebay .. I have to stay away until all the bills have been sent out for the month or the MRS takes vital things away ... :jumpy:

the 3.3 will tear apart 2.5 tranny i have 10 Tmaxx's and ive done it more than once i would suggest a 3.3 revo tranny works great you will need to hog out motor plate screws to move it a little closer to tranny though just my two peso's
