I am going to purchase a rc plane. Most likely a park flyer like the Firebird Commander . Does anyone else recommend anything diffrenet? I want one that has full throttle control not just on and off. Any input would be great.
Thanks

If you want a full featured ready to fly you should check out the many kits Wattage has to offer. They generally run about $130 to $150 at your local hobby shops and can be airborne in about the time it takes to charge the batteries. Just put in Wattage RTF in your search engine and you'll come up with plenty to get your questions answered. Hope this helps.

Look into an E-Starter by GWS. It's a ARF. If you are seriously wanting to get into r/c it's a good plane to start out on. It's easy to put together. Made of foam so it's very easy to repair (everyone crashes at first). Because it's not a RTF, you must get the flying gear yourself which makes you learn all components. All consider that most RTF don't have very good electonics in it because they try and keep the cost down. Buying quality items means you won't have to replace it soon down the road. Getting a good transmitter will allow you to fly several planes from the same transmitter. The E-Starter is a good plane to start out with because for a beginner you can use 3 channels (elevator, rudder and throttle) but as you get more experience you can change it to a 4 channel (elevator, rudder, ailerons and throttle). The E-Starter package I bought was pretty much all the best stuff to go with it including LiPo batteries which all cost about $300 Canadian and didn't include the radio. Serious radio control is not cheap.
