RC Video game!!!

Just think it would be a fun topic to talk about. Wouldnt it be sweet if they made like a nitro rc game for ps3 or xbox 360.. I think it would be and awesome idea.. I really want one.... I hope they come out with something like that were you have to buy the game and then buy like an Rc controller that just plugs into the ps3 or xbox 360... I would be so much fun cause you would have to tune, fix and work on..... I know they have like realflight and virtual rc. But why dont they make a game were you can race buggy's, truck's, and all the rest of those good things and just like make courses with big jumps..... It would be a blast....!!!!!Anybody know of any such thing like that???

there is a game real race by duratrax but it is discontinued and I really wish I would have gotten it. but yea something that goes on xbox so you could play on xbox live. with every class even the old ones.

it would cost an arm and a leg to license every single manufacturer, and parts maker, another fortune to write the code to adjust the variables for every possible set-up etc. cost of rendering every single piece and hop-up on the market... believe me I have looked into it, I have worked in the video game industry (Publishing & Developing) since the days of the Sega Saturn and PSone. My Estimate is probably 1 million minimum just for licensing and thats before the cost of development which would depending on detail probably another 3-5mil.

Would love to do something like Gran Turismo for the RC market fior the current gen of video game systems it would just be very cost prohibitive and it looks like Virtual RC seems to be a great product.

So if you even had the capital to do it, you have the bad taste in the mouth of retailers from games like RC revolt from Acclaim due to inventory issues, you have a video game press that would probably score it low due to lack of knowledge about how much fun RC is.

So once you finally convince the retailers to take it into inventory after paying your licensing and cogs to the hardware maker - you would have to probably move 400-500K units at 59.99 retail.

Thats not even including your idea of packaging it with a controller wghich no hardware manufacturer is going to take a risk on without either seeing npd trst data for sell thru or have some kind of partnership cut...

not all the manufactors just like a good racing buggy, truck, truggy, rock crawler... I wouldnt make it. I just think it would be a big hit and a ton of fun... thats just my 2 cents. I realize it would be a lot of money to make just like every video game. But this would be such a fun game!!!!!

There are a couple PS1 Rc games . I have 1 RC stunt copter. Compluter games: Traxxxas Racers Edition ,RCHFS ,Big Scale Racing. I have these. They are fun!

ReVolt is a lot of fun! By editing a flat file you can change the characteristics of nearly every part of your car. As well, the different style tracks to be constructed are nearly endless. The video is pretty good, but doesn't rival what console games can provide these days. Dig it up if you can for those rainy days when you can't run outside and the living room is too small to run indoors!

cool... I wish they would make a recent one it would be so awesome. I dont understand why they wouldnt, they have rc plane simulators why cant they make car ones with trucks and offroad racing.?

There's Mini RC rally on the DS. I got it used @ Gamestop. It gets pretty challenging further in. It pi$$ed me off so I've let off for now to play CSI, soduku, and Call of Duty 4.... Gotta do something while I'm off work with a screwed up back. Oh, yeah I got my Blade MCX today also, and a Micro-T on the way...

My new LHS has a laptop setup with some sort of heli/plane simulator game thing. It says it's 100% simulation to the real thing. But if you put the controller down in the middle of a session the plane/heli will just hover in the air. I don't think that's 100% simulation, lol.
