I have a nitro sport but its the same at the rustler just a smaller motor all parts fit from a rustler and the thing is tuff as can be i dont know much about the 2.5 cause i had .15 pro but its ok i just upgraded to the 3.3 and wow that thing is nasty. look out jato lol this 3.3 in the nitrosport is bad i just got the 3.3 in today with k&n filter and aftermarket pipe and put on a home made wheelie bar on it now im going to put the larger rustler rims and tires on it with the hex extensions so i would say go with the rustler theres lots of room to make it better and you can find parts every where pluse its tuff as hell with alittle work it will be the fastest thing out there :D

Theres no such thing as a K&N filter for R/C cars - they have K&N styled filters but the company doesnt make filters for R/C

Hate to burst your buble but K&N has never made filters for rc cars and you can call/email them to ask because i have already emailed them - i just wanted to informed you that you got ripped off - the 2 best airfilters on the market are the motorsaver and the HPI Savage filters - everything else doesnt get even and these knock off K&N filters arnt even close to as good - I would hope someone would tell me if i bought a fake product so that what i am telling you - Get off your high horse

I think the person who bought it got ripped off but honestly - if yo uwant to save that motor then buy a motorsaver - they are the absolute best filters on the market and i will put my R/C's on that

The filter that people are buying for RC's that say K&N are nothing but valcover breather filters for 1:1 cars. They are THE single worst part one can add to a nitro engine, followed a close second place by the superchargers.

These filters will never keep the dust particles out of your engine, no matter how well they advertise them. You will smoke that engine within 1/3 the amount of fuel you would if you used the proper foam filter. 1 word of honest and very well founded advice, wull that filter off and put it on your 1:1 car where it belongs, or sell the thing. Get a Motor saver or even a cheapie $5 filter. They will work better and make you motor last 3x as long.

Yeah, that's ghetto as hell to run a valvecover breather on your truck. Plus that filter probably weighs as much as a shoebox full of regular filters. K&N makes great prefilters but I don't run the air filters on my 1:1 vehicles.
I've never had a Stampede but I have had a couple Rustlers, and trust me, you don't want one. I see alot of Jato's going for cheap on RCU. My Jato was a 2.5 and I loved that truck.
