I was wondering if anyone has tried to use one of these. My hobby shop has a return that I can get for around $100. I just wanted to know if it was alot of extra tuning involved. If it is, will there be alot more power on tap. Let me know if anyone has had one or know someone who does.

Do you have one? .03 horsepower gain on a motor that makes 1 horsepower sounds pretty good to me. If I buy it, it will go on my shelf queen anyway. I know the price of one new has dropped a good bit since they first come out.

I'll second the pure JUNK!!!! They are a total waiste of money, they will cause you a nightmare of tuning issues. Ultimately are lean and burned up motor, and there is NO noticable power gain. Invest the money in a better motor!

You really don't get anymore power than without one because the exhaust port is open when the air/fuel mix enters the motor. So all that boost goes right out the exhaust. Don't waste your money

Well I seen a Savage the other day with this supercharger you guys talk so bad about. I didn't see much improvement in torque or midrange power. On top end was a different story. It was the fastest .25 I have ever seen as far as top speed. I'm wondering if the people knocking on them have ever even seen one, much less had one. I was pretty impressed myself.

I had one on my savage 25 used it for about an hour took it off and sold it on ebay. completely worthless you gain more top end by changing your gearing slightly then adding a super charger

the only reason you see improvement on top speed is all engines are air pumps. at high rpms the supercharger is forcing air mot extra fuel but ai leaning it out a little. don't waste your money on superchargers if you want more pwer go big block or nitrous!!!!!!!!!

If you must go with a supercharger run the motor rich and try to improve fuel pressure.
