Step one - look here for feedback
step two - google his username and name for feedback
DON'T deal with someone who has no feedback unless you know him. Be cautious with someone who only has a couple + feedbacks.

Like they said check feedback and what i do is check some of there old posts you can learn alot reading old posts and that persons thread..Good luck

That advice is a bit flawed. If you've never sold/traded/bought/etc anything on this site, it's not a fair assumption you're going to get screwed or that you'll screw someone else. But I do agree with looking at older posts and taking that and other things into consideration before dealing.
