RC Car Range is TERRIBLE!!!!

Hello, my RC car is a NIKKO Lancer (again), and when I've taken it apart for cleaning, I was also messing around with these square-shaped attachments with flat-headed screws in them. After I messed with them, the range was very bad:mad:. I tried re-adjusting them, but the range was still bad!:pullhair: Can anyone help?:confused::confused::confused:

well first of all.. you shouldnt mess with those lol..

second you need to lay the car out at its maximum range right now lay it upside down or have a friend hold it "keeping their hands clear of the tires" now start with the first pot in one position then sweep the second see if you get any responce.. then adjust the first just a hair and repeat.. thats the only way i know to chase down the correct frequency

If you have someone that can help you, it would make it alot easier. Have the helper walk to where the range starts to break up and tune the screws, then see if they can move ****her away and you should get it eventually. As for what one to turn what way, I cant advise there. I havent has a Niko since I got one for christmas as a kid, 25+ years ago.

um.........:mfr_omg: they still make those? i had one when i was 10 and it lasted a week until i went :hunter: on it cause it ****ed out on me.
