Ever wonder why this truck never took off????. I just purchased a race package and being way too A nal about my rc stuff went on fleebay and purchased all the nice bling to make here like new. Then after visiting my LHS I walked out with a SS kit. Great deal as they were blowing it out. I've just started the build diff's and susp but what a nice kit. built real strong and I'd compare it to a KYOSHO kit. I always had a soft spot for this truggy and never bought one due mainly to price. I still think it's a little overpriced but after building some of the components not by much. There is a tonne of bilit components on this unit. here's some pics.

Love the tires and I see some aftermarket braces. I'll have to take some pics now that I'm done both of them. I used GH (Golden Horizon) lower control arms and spindle/knukles though. I hit a telephone poll at WOT and all I did was bend a pivot due to the screw being pulled out the bulkhead. Easy fix just don't hit tele poles :jumpy:

to tell you the truth i think you wasted your money on the a arms.. i have never in 2 years broke an arm and this truck went thru so much abusei even bent a titanium hinge pin and the a arm still didnt break..the set up i have right now is rock solid...yes i have aftermarket speedtech hinge pin braces and chassis braces. unfortunatly they dont make them nomore so you mised out.. these are 6 mm hinge pin braces that are super heavy duty and the braces are so strong.. i love it..

I purchased them because of the steal of a deal they had one them. 50% off all Hellfire parts from GH. Yes thats not a typo I paid 110 total for all the aluminum stuff to cover both vehicles. And they look cool. Not a racer so I said what the hell a little bling is nice.

I bought a race set up SS that basically had two complete SS's but after going through all the parts and being as anal as I am I bought a tonne of new parts to make them like new. Then bought the new SS kit cause the LHS gave me a wicked deal at 340. I ended up with one good SS out of all the parts and spares and of course the queen SS
