Hey all, I've got a pede here in Iraq, this thing wont pull the wheels up at all. I just bought an new esc because the one that came with it shorted out @ the battery connector. It has the titan motor that I assume is stock. I'm using 3000mah 7.2v batteries. Any Ideas?? I run it in sand, so I thought it was a traction problem, but even if I lay out rugs on the said I dont get the wheelie action everyone else seems 2.

check the slipper clutch..... and gear down for more torque- good luck
and third toss that motor :)

i had the same problem with mine so i bought a mamba 7700kv know i cant keep the front end down if you can get a good 8.4 or 9.6 batteries over there it will be alot faster i ran a 8.4 in mine and it was better

What do i check for with the slipper clutch. Yes, I have studied the Mamba, but the price of the system is almost 2 times what i paid for this truck. Any ideas on what a good gear tooth number would be for say, good top end, but still pull a wheelie?

the slipper clutch probly is slipping when you are "punching" the throttle allowing it to sit there for a second before it moves.
the clutch is great for jumping it allows the wheels not to spin when the truck lands on the ground from a jump. while the motor is spinning at high rpm's
-to check the slipper hold the truck down and use your other hand to turn the "spur" gear...
-if it turns when the wheels are not turning it is working(slipping to prevent the tranny gears from stripping.)
-if the wheels are trying to turn while you are "trying" turning the spur gear it is tightened down and should pull wheels.
to tighten the spiller clutch ... tighten this nut #5552 this will make you tranny turn every rpm of the spur gear.

There is a compromise you can get a smaller pinion gear and larger spur to get wheelies but your top end will drop there is no way around that. or you can stay stock or go larger on your pinion and smaller on your spur to get top end. And I have to agree with navy dump the titan and get something that has more power

So I think I may have found the problem, after I check the slipper, and i tightened it up (but not all the way). I found out that I have a bad transmission. So No wheelies ended up being a prequel to no truck. Anyone know a good spot to get a transmission. I know they can be repaired, I just do not know if I am ready for the work.

So I broke down and took it apart. Its totally do able. I am going to order the alum idle gear, maybe that will help.

I agree with the comment on the 8.4v battery or better. It is going to be hard to pull wheelies on a 7.2v even if the slipper is tight. You could try to put a locker in the rear end but that tends to break things.

I got my Mamba in the mail today. The 6900, I'm not pulling wheelies, but who cares. This sh*t is amazing. I cant wait to see this thing with good batteries.

Try the Maxamps 11.1V Lipo. Then you cant keep the front end on the gound.

you cant use 3s lipo on a 6900kv.... too many rpm. you coulda got the 5700 and ran that on 3s... not that woulda been BA. i had a sidewinder 5700 ib my pede on 3s and went more than 1/2 throttle from a standstill itd flip on its lid

hey chris you may also want to look at the steel ringed diff gear . The aluminum idler will eventually eat the stock plastic gear Traxxas number-2318x, or tower hobbies part number-LXSHA2
just my two cents
