So i got that e-maxx i won off ebay...and its a blast. Runs great...its the older one with the yellow evx-2 and came with a Super brain 977 and 4 venom 3300mah packs. Something im not liking and would like some advice on. When the packs die and i try to kinda drive it back towards the house it will stick at full throttle. This already caused me to break a rear body mount lol. Whats up with this? Is it common? Is there an aftermarket baller ESC out there that might help with that. I seemed to pseudo remedy it by putting a 4AA receiver pack on for the hell of it. Another thing i wasnt digging about this older Maxx was the weak steering, but a high torque servo i had lying around cured that pretty well. So yeah...any ideas on that or maybe some common upgrades that might improve its performance...Thx in advance.

The throttle sticking was because it wouldn't have enough power to maintain radio connection. Just don't drive it down so low, or use that reviecer pack.
RPM parts are suggested by me all the way around.
Arms, bumpers, skid/wear plates, shock towers. I've got a cage on mine to protect the guts and all.
Some 7-cells will bring new light to your world in the way of performance!

Its a 14.4v evx tho...=\ Let me ask a general question real quick as well. Ive been out of RC for a while mind you...How many times can you use a NiMH pack per day or 24 hrs? Should you limit it to one cycle of charge/run out? Dont wanna burn up my packs :) Ill be sure to look over the RPM parts as i break stuff or just want something new.

I know I ran 14 cells on the orig, orange, Novak EVX. Got warm, but no problems till it met water. Paid $45 and now have a new EVX 2, waterproofed.
There are aftermarket motors you can get. I've heard bad about Kershaw Designs though. I've got a set of Johnson 600s and they are great!

Thanks again, let me throw out another question while youre still logged on lol. Any idea how the evx-2 i have would hold up? Also you think i could fit hump cells in it or better yet, can i buy a new e-maxx chassis or is it not interchangeable...I honestly try to look up most of these kinds of things but googling rc car stuff is getting me nowhere...thus the reason im asking so many questions on this forum haha.
EDIT
How do those 600s affect battery life? hehe more questions!

They don't seem to hinder battery life much at all.
I'm not sure on the chassis. I know you'd need new chassis braces, steering set-up, and the older chassis is different from the new one.
I don't know on the EVX 2 that is yellow. I love the blue one though!!! :D
