Couple E-maxx q's

Hello all, Im new to this site and have a few questions concerning the E-maxx. Im just getting back into RC and im in the process of snaking a reasonably priced used e-maxx or other large electric 4x4 truck off ebay. Anyhoo, hows the runtime on these things with your average 2000mAh niCd packs? Are the stock motors pretty decent or is there a better set to run in these, like some high turn crawler motors or something different? Um..thats it i suppose? Thanks in adavance...

I would guess about 10 minutes on 2K packs.
Depends on if you want more torque for crawling, or more speed for fun. I run 7-cell 4,000mAh packs, and Johnson 600 motors in my E-Maxx. The stock Titans are 550 sized, these are 600. They are faster and have more torque, I'm very happy with them!

in one of my stock emaxx i run 23t pinions with 3000 and i get a good 10 minutes 15 minutes on the 3800's

I get about 20-25 minutes on my 4,000mAh packs running fairly hard. If I'm climbing or just running WOT all the time, 15-20.

Thanks for the info guys..i ended up winning a decent auction on ebay tonight for an e-maxx with 4 3300 mah nimhs and a super brain charger...so hopefully ill be good to go and have some fun in the backyard. Wheres a good place to look for these 600 sized motors? Im used to you regular 540 size stuff...

Got mine on eBay, just have to look around. The motors will fit the Villian too, so if you see that in the title for motors, check it.
Sounds like some decent batteries. What Super Brain charger is it? Ive got the 977 and LOVE it!

Honestly it just says super brain, but in one of the q&a's he said it can charge two at once, so it has to be one of the newer/higher up ones...9xx i suppose.
