Hey all, I have a modified black Motorola RAZR V3 up for grabs. The physical condition of the phone is pretty good. There are some spots of wear, but no major blemishes, dents, or dings. Now, for the software! I modified this RAZR for fun. First thing I did was the FunLights mod! First thing you can do, it select the ring/even lights. Allowing the ring lights will make the phone flash when it’s open and you receive a call! The keypad and screens flash and the phone rings as normal. It’s pretty cool, but my phone is usually closed when I get calls. Event lights I liked even more! That makes the blue Bluetooth light flash for events such as calls, text messages, alarms, events, and while charging. I found it pretty useful and nifty as well.
The best part of FunLights (IMHO) is the Rhythm Lights! You go to it and select how sensitive you want it (1-7) and how long (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 minutes) and press the end button. You return to the normal phone but the lights are off and sensitive to sound! If you have music playing, the keypad lights, outer Bluetooth light, and inner and outer screen all flash to the beat! They don’t flash at the same rate either. The Bluetooth light is the most sensitive and will flash to the tiniest of sounds, next is the keypad, then the screens. It responds to all sounds (music, voice, snapping, stomping, ect.) and it great fun at parties or with friends!
Secondly, I went in and took out all the space wasting **** I didn’t need. First I took out almost all of the images that come on the phone you can’t delete. I left the “Food” one because I just like Sushi, but I can take that off there for you as well. I replaced the skins’ wallpapers with solid colors. Now, when you select the “Moto” skin, it applies a solid blue wallpaper, and same with the “Silver” (grey/silver background) and “Scarlet” (scarlet wallpapers) skins. They save space and don’t look too shabby either, they look like it came that way, and the colors match the skins/themes. Next thing to go was the smilies and emoticons from AIM/ICQ/Yahoo as I never used those services (only text messages for me) and they just wasted space for me. I also replaced a few of those moving icons with static ones. Instead of showing a little animation when you scroll over it, it just shows the nonmoving image. Looks like it came that way and saves space.
More customization! I changed the start-up image/animation to my own as well as the sound that is played. I did the same with shut-down but without a sound. (Just didn’t want one). For example, right now, when you turn the phone on, it shows the Motorola image for a few seconds, then shows a picture of Homer Simpson going “D’OH!” with a speech bubble showing that, and it plays the sound of him shouting it! When it shuts down, it shows the image of my choice real quick and shuts off.
I have also changed the outer LCD image when the phone is open. Instead of showing the little Cingular dude when open, it now shows “***?” in blue letters on a black background. As you can see, I was just having fun. I can change the image though.
I WILL CUSTOMIZE THIS FOR YOU!!! I can still change these things (start-up/shut-down stuff+outer LCD) for you! I’ll change the outer LCD image, start-up sound, start-up image, shut-down image, and shut-down sound to whatever you want!!! (Within reason). You can send me images, or links to an image and I’ll put them where you want them. Same with the sounds; they have to be kind of short though. I will work with you to change these before you get the phone!
This will come with the battery door, a good battery, still plenty of life, and a battery charger. For the right deal, I can also include a car charger!
I’m not set on a price, but please don’t lowball me here. I’m also open to trades! Anything car related I’ll look at, speakers, electronics, computer stuff, hobby level RCs, let me know what you’ve got, it might be odd, but I could be interested!
